Vietnam's Son Tung M-TP was named the winner of the Best Southeast Asia Act online poll, getting enough votes to beat other nominees including Faizal Tahir (Malaysia), James Reid (Philippines), Nadine Lustre (Philippines), NOAH (Indonesia), Slot Machine (Thailand), and The Sam Willows (Singapore).
The win made Son Tung M-TP the representative of Southeast Asia to the Worldwide Act: Asia of MTV Europe Music Awards.
He will now go up against other Asian acts including BTS (South Korea), Dempagumi.inc (Japan), Jane Zhang (China), and Jay Chou (Taiwan).
Voting for all award categories is open on mtvema.com until October 25, 2015, 6:59 p.m.
MTV EMAs will be broadcast on Monday, October 26, at 3 a.m. (TH/WIB) and 4 a.m. (MY/PH/SG), hosted by Ed Sheeran
