‘Killer Highway’ mystery in Calapan gets the spotlight in ‘Hiwaga’

When accidents on a particular road occur at least five times a month, could these be called mere incidents or the work of a “killer highway?” Find out this Friday (Oct 11) in Hiwaga.

Atom Araullo probes the case of “Kharlou” who was the 81st car accident victim on Calapan Road, Oriental Mindoro. His motorcycle accident could have been caused by the sudden swerve on the road or the effect of alcohol, but local stories also point to a certain white lady that suddenly crosses the road and treasure-guarding spirits who drag motorists to their deaths.

“It seems there’s an evil spirit there that tries to take control of the wheel and forces motorists to crash. But we don’t see them,” resident Mang Rudolfo shared.

“I wasn’t drunk at that time. It really felt like there was someone dragging you. When I went past the highway, it gave me the chills,” another local testified.

As the Hiwaga team investigates these claims, pictures taken by residents of the road reveal another face of the mysterious killer highway when paranormal experts saw possible goblins and dwarves in the photos.

What else will the team find out when they actually go onsite? Would the residents be put at ease if the spirits surrounding the area be appeased?

Find out this Friday, Oct. 11, as Atom Araullo attempts to unravel another mystery in Hiwaga, 4:45 PM on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.
