Wally Bayola temporarily leaves ‘Eat Bulaga!’

Wally Bayola wasn’t seen in Eat Bulaga! for the past two days, after his video scandal was leaked Monday.

He co-hosts the noontime show’s segment, Juan For All, All For Juan, with Jose Manalo and Paolo Ballesteros, but he didn’t show up on the said segment starting Tuesday, following the upload of the controversial video on YouTube that shows him in a sexual act with Yosh Rivera, one of the show’s dancers.

Talking to GMA News, Wally’s manager and Senior vice president and COO of TAPE Inc., Malou Choa-Fagar, said the comedian will temporarily not be seen in the noontime show.

The uploader of the video is still unknown as of this posting. But whoever it was could face legal charges under Republic Act 9995, the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.

Liable under the said law are those who take and spread photos or videos of someone else’s private part or sexual activity without permission. Those who share photos or videos on social networking sites or e-mail can also be held liable.

Anyone found guilty can face up to 7 years of imprisonment or a fine of P500,000.

But then aggrieved parties need to file complaints first as the start of any legal action.
