ABS-CBN Corporation, the Philippines’ largest and leading multimedia conglomerate, scored a coup with its primetime drama series “Walang Hanggan” (The Eternal) hitting a record-high of 44% audience share or a 44.5% TV ratings last June 25 across urban and rural areas in the country, according to global audience research group Kantar Media.
“Walang Hanggan,” the undisputed number one TV program in the Philippines, has captivated millions of viewers with its gripping tale of three generations of characters caught in the intricate web of love, revenge, sacrifice, and deception. It boasts of a stellar cast led by some of the country’s most popular and award-winning actors and actresses from different decades.
The phenomenal success of the show, which is now on its extended season, is proof of ABS-CBN’s unparalleled creative excellence and mastery in producing content that answers the needs and aspirations of Filipino audiences. Kantar Media’s audience panel would now cover and represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
