Amalia Fuentes filed libel charges against Annabelle Rama at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, June 13, 2012.
Amalia accused the talent manager of committing 11 counts of libel for statements she made on her Twitter account.
Pinoy Big Brother host and Philippine Star columnist Bianca Gonzales was also charged with libel by Amalia. The former movie queen said that Bianca defamed her in the Kapamilya star’s PhilStar column last February 12. Bianca wrote about Annabelle’s claim that Amalia once had a romantic relationship with Annabelle’s husband, Eddie Gutierrez.
Amalia said Bianca should have at least made an effort to get her side of the story.
Prior to this, Amalia also sued Ruffa Gutierrez, Annabelle’s daughter, last month. The libel charges also stemmed from messages posted by Ruffa on Twitter.
