Jessica Sanchez makes it to American Idol 11 Top 42

American Idol 11 is down to its best 42 contestants and the 16-year-old Filipino-American Jessica Sanchez made it to the cut.

In Las Vegas, the 70 contestants grouped up and performed songs from the '50s and '60s. Jessica teamed up with Deandre Brackensick (who got eliminated in season 10 during Green Mile) and Candice Glover. The three performed It Doesn't Matter Anymore and the judges even gave them a standing ovation.

Jessica, Deandre and Candice went through the round but after all the groups have performed, the judges had to make more cuts and Candice was eliminated.

Jessica is quite a familiar face among fans of America's Got Talent because she joined the show when she was 11. Watch her AGT performance below.
