Gandang Gabi Vice will not go off-air after all. After the much-hyped "final episode," Vice Ganda announced in tonight's episode of the show that due to Twitter and Facebook messages of support from fans of the show that included TFC subscribers, the network has decided to continue airing the show.
Gandang Gabi Vice was supposed to go off-air for three months, after which the second season will start. But due to insistent public demand, the show will not take a break anymore but continue on its second season same time next Sunday.
Vice actually gave a hint about it while interviewing Sarah Geronimo who was one of his guests on the episode. Talking about the Popstar Princess' new show, Sarah G LIve!, that will begin airing next Sunday at 8-9 PM, the comedian said something about joining forces every Sunday night. "Joined forces tayo every Sunday," he said in passing.
The news was a big one for the fans of the comedian and the show itself. Vice himself was very thankful because he admitted feeling sad when he learned that the show would be resting for three months. "Thank you, Lord!" he exclaimed.
It can be said that social networking sites, most especially Facebook and Twitter, really has the power to turn things around.
