Sarah Geronimo will be hosting her very own musical television program beginning February 26th. Entitled Sarah G Live! the show is set to conquer Sunday night television with musical production numbers from the Popstar Princess.
But the highlight of Boy Abunda's interview with Sarah on The Buzz earlier today was focused on Gerald Anderson who is being rumored to court the Popstar Princess.
Although, Sarah denied that she and Gerald are already in a relationship, she said she's not the right person to ask if the Budoy star is currently courting her. "Sa pananaw ko walang nangyayaring ligawan sa amin," Sarah told Boy Abunda. "Pero dapat sa lalaki na manggagaling 'yon."
Sarah also confirmed what Gerald said in earlier interviews that they were together last Valentine's Day in a group date which included Sarah's family as well as some friends of the two. But she said it's not true that her Mommy Divine kept an eye on her during the said date. "Hindi naman po, magkasama po kaming lahat no'n. In-invite family ko ni Gerald."
And is "babe" what they call each other? "Hindi babe Tito Boy, e," she said laughing, and followed it up by telling everyone that she calls him Gege while he calls her Sasa.
In the same interview, Sarah ended the rumors that she intentionally got the timeslot of Vice Ganda's show for her own. "Hindi po totoo 'yon," she said. She also said that she didn't back out from guesting in Vice's show at the Araneta Coliseum last year, which is being pointed at as the cause of her rift with the comedian. It would have been impossible for her to guest on his concert because Sarah said she was not in the country during that time. "Okay po kami ni Vice," she also said to put a stop to speculations.
On rumors that she asked for her own show because there were some people she couldn't bear to work with in ASAP, she also denied it by saying, "Okay na po kaming lahat, happy po kami na nagtatrabaho and pamilya po kami sa ASAP."
On her rumored insecurity with Angeline Quinto: "No. Angeline, she inspires me. I admire her napakagaling n'yang singer. At kung paano n'ya na-handle lahat 'yong pressure.... Kasi nakaka-relate ako sa kanya... nakikita ko ung sarili ko sa kanya, kumbaga reminder sa akin 'yong humble beginnings ko. Sobra akong proud for Angeline and I'm very, very happy for Angeline kasi alam ko po ang hirap din n'ya."
Sarah expressed her gratefulness for the trust that ABS-CBN gave her. The network put her in ASAP which had been her training ground all these years. The people in the show supported her even when she was just starting. ABS-CBN also gave her the opportunity to star in her very first teleserye.
Now, with her very own musical program that has her name in the title, she can now be lined up to the likes of Nora Aunor, Alma Moreno, Vilma Santos and Sharon Cuneta who had their own shows during the height of their stardom.
Sarah G Live! is said to showcase a bolder and fiercer Sarah Geronimo. She will be joined by Gab Valenciano and Luis Manzano as co-hosts as well as the G-Force dance group headed by Teacher Georcelle.
But before the show premieres next week, catch Sarah on the two-hour farewell episode of Gandang Gabi Vice tonight at 9 PM. She will be one of Vice's guests along with Iza Calzado and Richard and Raymond Gutierrez.
