It seems like some of the best GMA-7 stars are choosing to transfer to ABS-CBN.
Talks are going around that the Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is transferring to the Kapamilya network after her contract with GMA-7 expires this month. Is she using "career growth" as the reason to transfer as well?
Manila Bulletin reported that the actress is transferring because GMA-7 has other priorities when it comes to giving projects to their talents. Marian Rivera, the Kapuso Primetime Queen, is said to be on top of the line, followed by teen stars Barbie Forteza and Bea Binene in that order.
Carla, daughter of actor Ray "PJ" Abellana, had her first break in showbiz when GMA-7 gave her the title role in the network's adaptation of the Mexican television series Rosalinda in 2009. Some said it was quite a big role for someone who has not been into acting before but she made it through, nonetheless. More TV and movie projects came after that. Her last soap was the recently-concluded Kung Aagawin Mo ang Langit and her last movie shown was Regal Films' Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.
Are you excited about Carla's network transfer? Will she be warmly received just like former Kapuso stars who transferred to ABS-CBN?
