Kirby Asunto to sing national anthem in Pacquiao-Bradley match

A 14-year-old New York-based Filipina named Kirby Asunto will sing the Philippine National Anthem in the June 9 match of Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley.

Kirby was personally asked by Pacman himself if she would like to sing in the said match. She didn’t think twice and accepted the offer.

The Pinoy boxing champ first heard her sing during an offering mass before the Pacquiao-Marquez fight last year. She also performed at the concert after Pacquiao won the fight.

Kirby Asunto was born in the Philippines. Her family migrated to the US in 2006. She wanted to be a professional singer since she was very young. She would like to be famous one day and be an inspiration to the young talented singers in the Philippines.
