Charice's cover enhanced but not dramatically altered with Photoshop, says Preview

Preview magazine released a statement regarding the controversy that has surrounded its January 2012 cover on which international singer Charice was on.

The magazine said the cover was the product of choosing the best team to do the job.

"What the public needs to understand is that Preview doesn't rely on Photoshop to produce its photos. For every Preview shoot, we are proud to say that we assemble the best team and crew."

The team who did the cover photo consisted of photographer Marc Nicdao, hairstylist Buern Rodriguez, makeup artist Juan Sarte and stylist Liz Uy.

The magazine, though, admitted that they used Photoshop on Charice's photo but it was only to enhance it and not to dramatically alter the singer's features.

"If you buy the issue you'll see that Charice looks the same in all the photos. It's difficult to achieve that consistency with Photoshop."

To prove that Photoshop was not used to change how Charice looked, Preview urged everyone to watch the behind-the-scenes video of the singer's photoshoot.
