Jessica Sanchez sings the US Anthem at Pacquiao-Bradley fight

Jessica Sanchez sang the U.S. National Anthem, Star-Spangled Banner, before the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley fight held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 9, 2012 (morning of July 10 in Manila).

The 16-year-old American Idol 11 runner-up was wearing a yellow dress with black prints. The crowd inside the MGM Grand went wild while she’s singing. Both Pinoys and Americans in the audience were all cheering as Jessica is both American (in citizenship) and half-Filipino (and half-Mexican in lineage).

In recent interviews, Pacquiao said that it was actually his idea for Jessica to sing the national anthem for Bradley. Kirby Asunto, a Fil-Am teenager, was asked months ago to sing the Philippine National Anthem for that fight.
