Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story was a big winner at the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Awards Night. The ceremonies was held on December 28, 2011 at the Resorts World Manila.
Manila Kingpin won several awards including Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Musical Score, Best Sound Recording, Best Original Theme Song (La Paloma by Ely Buendia), the Gatpuno Villegas Cultural Award and Best Supporting Actor (John Regala) among others
Maricel Soriano was named Best Actress for her role in Yesterday Today Tomorrow while Dingdong Dantes was Best Actor for his Segunda Mano role. Eugene Domingo has another award under her belt for winning the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in My Househusband.
