National University (NU) wins 2013 UAAP Cheerdance Competition

The National University (NU) Cheer Squadron won the 2013 Cheerdance Competition that was held on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena. They won P340k in cash and a Samsung ATIV Book 9 for each team member. It was their first time to get the title with a score of 696.5.


University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad was declared first runner-up with a score of 620.5, winning P200k.

De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Animo Squad was second runner-up with a score of 596.5, winning P140k.

Group Stunts winners:
1st place - National University (NU) Cheer Squadron
2nd place - Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad
3rd place - University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe

Samsung Stunner of the Year was De La Salle University's Anna De Leon.

Non-winning teams include:
- University of the East (UE) Red Squad
- Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) Blue Bubble Battalion
- Adamson University (AdU) Pep Squad

The 2013 Cheerdance Competition is the highlight of UAAP and is the most-anticipated part of the season.
