The first leg of the Philippine Azkals vs Singapore Lions match for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 semi-finals ended with neither team scoring a goal.
The game was held on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila.
Azkals’ coach Michael Weiss, however, was not disappointed with the game. He even said that he liked how the team played the second half.
“We were a bit too cautious in the first half,” he said. “But I like how we play in the second half.”
Meanwhile, the second leg will be on December 12, Wednesday, at the Jalen Baser Stadium in Singapore.
Starting 11 for the Azkals were Phil Younghusband, James Younghusband, Eduard SacapaƱo, Angel Guirado, Rob Gier, Jason De Jong, Carli De Murga, Juani Guirado, Paul Mulders, Dennis Cagara and Patrick Reichelt.
Singapore Lions’ had Isa Halim, Shahdan Sulaiman, Izwan Mahbud, Shaiful Esah, Sharil Ishak, Khairul Amri, Baihakki Khaizan, Safuwan Baharudin, Aleksander Duric, Fahrudin Mustafic and Daniel Bennett.
