Looks like 2012 is being a very good year for Richard Yap.
The 45-year-old businessman and commercial model broke into the television scene last year by being cast as Chen Sy/Papa Chen, the father of Kim Chiu’s character in My Binondo Girl.
That role was well-accepted by television viewers and paved the way for more acting opportunities for Richard Yap.
He has a recurring guest role in Walang Hanggan as Henry de Dios, one of the men attracted to Dawn Zulueta’s character, Emily.
Aside from that, it has been reported that he will topbill an upcoming soap together with Jodi Sta. Maria and Mutya Orquia.
In a recent interview, Richard said he’s very thankful to ABS-CBN for giving him acting projects and will try to do his best to show that they weren’t wrong in giving him breaks.
Richard’s new series with Jodi and Mutya is set for release later this year.
