Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub has now become a household name after becoming part of "Eat Bulaga!" barely two months ago.
Her tandem with Alden Richards, known as AlDub, has become so popular that it always trends on social media during the airing of the noontime show.
While Alden, who co-hosts the program in Broadway Centrum in Quezon City, and Yaya Dub, who appears on the show's remote "Juan For All, All For Juan" segment, are yet to meet, they never fail to give the viewers "kilig" every single episode.
But it seems like Maine's popularity has gone beyond the Philippine waters, because a Broadway producer (yes, the real Broadway in New York and not the studio in QC) seems interested in casting her in a new "comedy musical."
Shea Arender, the producer, posted on his Facebook page:
As you guys know, I'm a Broadway producer, I was looking for a new actress for my new comedy musical, I came across this beautiful and talented Filipina actress Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub on YouTube, This girl is hilarious!! I love her funny faces, they make me laugh every time !#YayaDub #MaineMendoza #Pinay #Philippines Mabuhay !

While most of Maine's fans are excited, some say Shea just wants to ride in the popularity of the AlDub love team as they always trend on Twitter, not only in the Philippines but worldwide as well.
Meanwhile in "EB's" KalyeSerye, the AlDub love team seems to be having a third wheel in the character of Duhrizz (Wally Bayola) that was introduced on Tuesday.
Duhrizz is the grandchild of Lola Nidora (also played by Bayola) and she had been very vocal in saying that she finds Alden cute.
If Alden and Yaya have the "pabebe wave," Duhrizz has been flashing Alden her "pabebe tongue."
"Eat Bulaga!" airs Monday to Saturday, 12:00 NN to 2:30 PM, on GMA-7.
