'The Love Affair' breaches P100-M mark

"The Love Affair" has breached the P100-million mark in just six days of showing.

The news was revealed on Instagram by Star Cinema on Tuesday morning, congratulating the cast and crew of the drama movie.

Congratulations! #TheLoveAffair has breached the 100M mark in just 6 days! Maraming maraming salamat mga Kapamilya! To God be the glory!

Directed by Nuel Naval, the movie stars Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta and Bea Alonzo. It opened in over 170 cinemas nationwide on August 12, 2015, with a reported P15-million gross.

Almost 60 more cinemas were added over the weekend, following the outpour of good reviews, especially on Bea's acting.

"The Love Affair" is about the meeting of two broken hearts that are betrayed by the ones they love. And as the trailer goes, "does getting hurt give you the right to hurt back?"
