Mr. Universe Model 2012 winner is Erick Jimenez Sabater of Dominican Republic

Erick Jimenez Sabater of Dominican Republic was crowned Mr. Universe Model 2012 during the pageant that was held in Dominican Republic on June 13.

1st runner-up was Mr. Slovenia Miha Dragos, 2nd runner-up was Mr. Argentina Daniel Cajiao, 3rd runner-up was Mr. Spain Nicolas Ferreiro Blasco, 4th runner-up was Mr. Venezuela Julio Cesar Torres and 5th runner-up was Mr. Chile Alberto Byers.

Among the special awardees were Dominican Republic as Best Body, Spain as Mr. Elegance, Panama with Best Suit Typical award, and Argentina as Mr. Internet.

The Philippines’ representative, Jhon Marlon Marcia, was allegedly threatened of being sent home by the organizers due to pageant fees that was not paid by his National Director.

But the pageant was controversial in itself with at least two contestants expressing their disgust and saying that the pageant was fixed and that the organizers and judges were biased to the home contestant. Read about Mr. Hawaii’s thoughts here.

PBB Teen Edition 4 Audition at MOA on January 6 & 13
