'A Second Chance' a certified blockbuster, breaches P100M mark

After its P43.3 million first day gross, Star Cinema announced on Instagram that "A Second Chance" has already reached the P100 million mark as of 5 pm of Friday, November 27, 2015. And that's barely three days after it opened in cinemas.

"A Second Chance" is the sequel to the 2007 hit movie "One More Chance" starred by the tandem of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

With the same writers (Carmi Raymundo and Vanessa Valdez), director and lead stars, the sequel's story just flowed from what was expected in the first movie's ending - the marriage of Popoy (John Lloyd) and Basha (Bea).

The plot shies away from the usual third party conflicts, and instead presents the marital problems that arose when the couple (an engineer husband and an architect wife) decided to put up a construction firm. Professional competition and financial troubles lead to the failure of their business. But will true love save the marriage that has been affected by their economic troubles?
