Posting on Instagram a photo of himself with Kris as they look at their son taking his first Holy Communion, James congratulated the young boy and told him to always have God as his guide as he grows up.
"Bimb, congratulations on your First Holy Communion. Palagi mong gawing gabay si God hanggang sa paglaki mo," James wrote in the caption.
He also said that his love for his son is something that no one can take away.
"I love you so much my son at ang love ko sayo ay ang isang bagay na 'di kayang alisin ng nino man sa akin," he added.
He ended his message by saying that he was so happy to be reunited with Bimby.
"God bless you anak at napaka-ligaya ni Papa na nagkasama tayo muli!"
A day before the occasion, however, Kris took to Instagram to tell her followers that her text messages inviting James to their son's event was initially ignored.
"While we were in Hawaii, to be precise 2X on Oct 31, 12 hours apart I sent a text informing Bimb's father about his 1st Holy Communion & extending an invitation. I had gone to Church 2X while on vacation & felt that I should give him the opportunity to be part of this special occasion, primarily because of the 4th Commandment: To honor thy father & mother. I got no reply until Tuesday, Nov 24- and only because on Sunday in an IG comment saying it would be good for Bimb's father to be present I answered w/ the truth that our invitation was ignored.)," Kris wrote.
She also said that James, who doesn't share with Bimby's education expense, also lacks "time and effort" for their child.
