The slapping scene between Amor Powers (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Claudia Buenavista (Angelica Panganiban) in the Friday night episode of the primetime drama "Pangako Sa 'Yo" was much talked about on social networking sites, including Twitter where it became a top trending topic both locally and worldwide.
In the episode, the Buenavistas were struggling after losing much of what they had after Eduardo (Ian Veneracion) lost in the elections.
Their only hope in saving their company, the Buena Corp., was to ask favor from Mintira, the international firm that their company owes much to.
On the day of their meeting with Mintira, everyone was shocked to find out that it was Amor (Eduardo's former girlfriend whom he left for Claudia) who owns Mintira.
Before the meeting even started, Claudia rushed to Amor and slapped her, accusing the latter of planning everything to make them lose Buena Corp.
Amor, however, retaliated by slapping Claudia thrice, one cheek after another, then saying, "'Yang sampal na 'yan, kagaya 'yan ng utang mo, pang-international."
"Pangako Sa 'Yo" also stars the KathNiel love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. It airs weeknights after "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" on ABS-CBN.
