'A Second Chance' breaches P200M mark in 5 days

The John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo starrer "A Second Chance" has earned more than P200 million as of 3 pm of November 29, 2015, barely five days after it opened in cinemas.

The news was revealed by Star Cinema through an Instagram post on Sunday, thanking everyone who has watched the movie.

"Congratulations! #ASecondChance has earned more than P200M! Still showing in 360 cinemas nationwide! Maraming salamat mga Kapamilya!" read the photo's caption.

The Cathy Garcia-Molina-helmed movie opened in cinemas on Wednesday, November 25. It had P43.3 million for its first day gross and has breached the P100 million mark on Friday.

A sequel to the 2007 hit "One More Chance" which also starred the John Lloyd-Bea tandem and helmed by the same director, "A Second Chance" follows the story of Popoy and Basha as they get married, and tells of the marital woes of two professionals who decide to put up a business together.

Will true love be able to save Popoy and Basha's "forever?"
