Toni Gonzaga rumored to host “The Voice of the Philippines”

Toni Gonzaga is being rumored to host the Philippine version of the hit singing reality show, The Voice.

To be called The Voice of the Philippines, initial rumors pointed to Robi Domingo as the would-be host since he was quoted talking about it in an ABS-CBN News article.

“Direk Lauren Dyogi and I had a talk, actually it was such a long talk, umabot ng isang oras and he has plans for me. I’m also eyeing for this project called 'The Voice.' They’re making a franchise here,” Robi said.

A recent post by Darla Sauler, however, points to Toni Gonzaga as the host although the blogger cleared that nothing is official yet.

Last month, director Lauren Dyogi already revealed two international audition dates for the said reality show – September 15 (Los Angeles) and 16 (San Francisco).

The US version of The Voice has an Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine as celebrity mentors. Their Philippine counterpart will surely be much-anticipated by reality show fans, as much-anticipated as who will really be hosting the show.

The Voice was created by John de Mol, the Dutch media tycoon who also created Big Brother, Fear Factor, 1 vs 100, and Deal Or No Deal among others.
