Star Cinema will be releasing RD Alba’s Biktima, a movie starring Angel Aquino and Cesar Montano.
Biktima tells the story of Alice dela Cruz (Angel), a news reporter who survives being ambushed by the rebels. Everyone believes she’s dead as she goes missing after the incident. She is, however, found after six months suffering from partial amnesia, only remembering up to the point of the ambush.
Conflict arises as her husband Mark (Cesar) has already moved on with another woman (Mercedes Cabral) thinking that Alice is already dead. Mark, though, decides to hide his relationship with Sandra from Alice.
Meanwhile, as Alice remembers what happened to her, the trauma of the experience manifests in her present life and becomes violent especially when she learns of her husband’s affair with another woman.
Also in the cast is Cesar’s real-life wife, Sunshine Cruz, as Alice’s boss. The movie hits theaters on September 19, 2012.
