Jermaine Paul of Team Blake Shelton won the second season of the hit singing reality show, The Voice. He bested three other contestants – Juliet Simms of Team Cee Lo Green (2nd place); Tony Lucca of Team Adam Levine (3rd place); and Chris Mann of Team Christina Aguilera (4th place).
Host Carson Daly revealed that only 4 percent separated Jermaine Paul from Juliet Simms.
During yesterday’s performance, Jermaine sang God Gave Me You, which is a song by his mentor, Blake Shelton. The performance won the hearts of televiewers who voted for him and gave him that 4 percent ahead of Juliet Simms.
Jermaine, who was a former backup singer of Alicia Keys, thanked everyone that voted for him.
Among the performers of the night were Hall & Oates, Flo Rida, Lady Antebellum and Justin Bieber who sang his hit Boyfriend.
