The movie stars Benjamin Walker as Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the US, who is fictionally portrayed as having a secret identity of a vampire hunter.

Also in the cast are Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell and Marton Csokas.

Bekmambetov produced the film along with Tim Burton. The movie was based on the novel of the same title written by Seth Grahame-Smith. Smith also wrote the adapted screenplay so we can expect the story to be as good as the book.

The movie was reportedly made under a $69-million budget and was filmed in Louisiana.

Benjamin Walker beat several actors for the role, including Nicolas Cage, Adrien Brody, Josh Lucas, James D’Arcy and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
