Xian Lim said the real status of his relationship with onscreen love team, Kim Chiu, will be revealed in a proper time so they will not be accused of using it just to promote something, like their current movie, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?
The Kapamilya actor, however, revealed that he finds it hard that he is always asked about the real score between them.
“It’s very hard na the people are always asking you these questions, and especially I would consider myself bago pa lang sa industry and it’s my first movie pa lang,” Xian said in The Buzz on Sunday. He went to the talk show alone because Kim is currently in Bangkok.
“Our relationship, our status, would be known at a certain time. Hindi pa ngayon. Kasi it would be unfair kung sasabihin namin na kami ngayon, we’re promoting a movie, ‘di ba? Pag sinabi namin na kami, ‘A, wala, shino-showbiz tayo niyan.’ Pag sinabi naming hindi kami, shino-showbiz pa rin. It would be really unfair for the both of us. So ‘yung status would be known at a proper time,” he explained.
He also said that he doesn’t want to be obliged to do something just because they’re in showbiz.
“With all due respect to everyone asking me, I don’t wanna have that obligation na kailangan nyong sabihin sa publiko, kailangan nyong umamin, kailangan nyong ganito, kailangan… because we don’t need to.”
Meanwhile, he thanked their fans and supporters for the success of Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?, his first team-up with Kim on the big screen. The movie earned P10.5 million on its opening day last Wednesday.
