Jake Ejercito is 'overwhelmed beyond words' with #KalyeSerye experience

Jake Ejercito was on national television on Saturday, January 9, via "Eat Bulaga's" #KalyeSerye segment where he played the role of Yaya Dub's (Maine Mendoza) classmate.

For the past week, followers of the noontime show had wondered about Jake, the character who constantly called Yaya Dub and who was actually the cause of some jealousy on the character of Alden Richards.

The more passionate fans of the AlDub love team even somehow "hated" Jake for being the third wheel, but come Saturday, everyone was charmed when it was revealed who Jake was. It was indeed someone named Jake!

Born Juan Emilio Ejercito, Jake is the son of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada and former actress Laarni Enriquez. He had his share of showbiz spotlight himself when he got romantically linked with Andi Eigenmann, but he has never really done anything like what he did in #KalyeSerye.

And he was a natural.

Jake was also so "game" with Lola Tinidora (Jose Manalo) asked him to do, like dipping his "isaw" in coffee, dubsmashing to Jose's singing voice, and even dancing to "Macho Guapito." He's such a charmer that #KalyeSerye fans expressed their desire to see more of Jake in the noontime show.

But then he had to leave for Singapore on Monday for his masters degree.

And as he was saying goodbye, Dawin's "Dessert" played and he danced to the tune making the girls swoon.

On Instagram later that day, Jake posted a #KalyeSerye photo of him with Maine and the three "lolas" to say thank you and express how overwhelmed he was with the experience.
