MMFF 2015 highest grossing movie is 'Beauty and the Bestie'

The ranking of the top 4 highest grossing Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2015 movie entries was revealed on Monday (January 4, 2016) by ABS-CBN's "TV Patrol."

While MMFF announced that they will reveal the ranking and the individual gross of the entries after the festival's run on Jan. 7, the Kapamilya evening news already revealed the box office standing of the top 4 movies as of January 2, although without the breakdown of gross earnings.

According to the report, the Vice Ganda and Coco Martin starrer "Beauty and the Bestie" was the highest-grossing MMFF 2015 entry, followed by "My Bebe Love" starring Vic Sotto, Ai-Ai de las Alas, Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards.

At number three was the horror movie topbilled by Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel and Jerome Ponce titled "Haunted Mansion," and at number four was MMFF 2015 Best Picture "Walang Forever" starring Jennylyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales who won the Best Actress and Best Actor awards respectively.

"TV Patrol" also reported a gross of P840 million (as of Jan. 2). It was P6 million higher than what MMFF posted on its official Facebook page.

The festival will run until Jan. 7, after which the official ranking and breakdown of gross earnings will be released by MMFF.
