A day before it completes its two-week run in Philippine cinemas, the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has breached the P1 billion gross mark as announced on the festival's Facebook page.
The eight official movie entries has posted a total gross earnings of P1.002 billion as of January 6, 2016, thirteen days after MMFF 2015 opened in cinemas nationwide on December 25.
With just one more day of ticket sales to be added, the amount was just P0.012 less than the gross ticket sales of MMFF 2014 (P1.014 billion).
Meanwhile, MMFF is expected to release the ranking of the eight entries anytime soon as they said they will be releasing the list, as well as the breakdown of gross earnings, after its two-week run.
As per the latest Facebook post, the top four movies ("My Bebe Love," "Beauty and the Bestie," "Haunted Mansion" and "Walang Forever") are still in random order.
