Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will have a homecoming this January 23, 2016. Her grand parade will happen two days after, on Jan. 25, passing through Quezon City, Makati and Manila.
In an interview with GMA-7's 24 Oras, Bb. Pilipinas chair Stella Marquez Araneta revealed that Pia asked the Miss Universe Organization to extend her stay in the Philippines a little longer than her supposed Jan. 29 return to New York.
One of her reasons for wanting a longer stay was to attend "the wedding of one of her close friends."
Fans know, of course, that Pia and Pauleen Luna are close friends. Their friendship goes back to the time they were barely teenagers taking workshops in ABS-CBN.
Pauleen will be tying the knot with Vic Sotto soon and Pia is one of their bridesmaids. Surely, both girls are happy about the chance the Miss U Org has given to Pia to attend the special occasion.
Meanwhile, Stella Marquez Araneta said that a lot of the long-time sponsors of Bb. Pilipinas has already approached her regarding getting the services of Pia for product endorsements. She also revealed that the new Miss Universe is also getting endorsement offers in New York.
