GMA Network does not release its talents from their existing contracts without a valid cause or basis particularly if the reasons cited by its talents are not true. We will respond to the issue when we receive a copy of Aljur Abrenica’s complaint.On Thursday, the actor formally filed a petition for confirmation of rescission of his current contract with the Kapuso Network.
According to the Kambal Sirena leading man, the network's plans is not "aligned" with what he wants to happen to his career.
There were reports that the network and the actor had a number of disagreements prior to the petition.
Aljur's showbiz career started when he won the fourth season of StarStruck in 2006. He eventually started appearing in Kapuso programs and was given a number of lead roles in TV series, the last of which was in the mermaid series opposite Louise de los Reyes.
Many were speculating that Aljur just wants to transfer to another TV network, but the actor has denied it saying he hasn't received any offers.
