Daniel Marsh of Juan Direction won't pay taxi fare, mauls driver

Daniel Marsh of Juan Direction is now in the headlines for allegedly mauling a taxi driver on Wednesday morning.

According to a report by philstar.com, the TV5 talent mauled 49-year-old Edward Villanueva of World Taxi after the driver insisted that the TV host pay the P78.50 fare on the taxi meter.

Villanueva said that Marsh, an Irish-Filipino, got into his taxi past 5AM of Wednesday outside Prive Luxury Club at The Fort, Taguig. While on their way to Tivoli Garden Redidences in Mandaluyong, Marsh started complaining that he lost his wallet.

Upon arriving at Tivoli, Marsh said, "I'm free," meaning he's not paying.

When Villanueva insisted on being paid, Marsh kicked his cab.

The driver then got out of the vehicle and that's when Marsh beat him up.

"He hurt me with a head butt," Villanueva was quoted as saying.

Before Marsh went inside the building, though, he threw a P100 bill at the driver.

A few minutes after, the barangay police reportedly arrived but the building guards could not make Marsh come down to face the authorities.

Villanueva has reported the incident to Barangay Hulo, Mandaluyong. Health workers has advised him to have his nose X-rayed.

The taxi driver has also gone to TV5 to seek help because Marsh has not faced him yet.
