The movie is an adaptation of the best-selling book of the same title written by Bianca Bernardino. It tells the story of teens Athena Dizon and Kenji de los Reyes whose "pretend relationship" takes a turn and develops into something deeper.
The first poster for the movie was released on June 20. It shows the "gangster" look of Daniel and Kathryn is dressed in a colorful "young" ensemble. It is very different from the second poster where the Teen King sports a clean look and the Teen Queen looks like a fine young lady in sleeveless outfit and a nice hairdo.
She's Dating The Gangster is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and produced by Star Cinema, the movie production arm of ABS-CBN.
