Martinez is still suffering injuries from previous bad falls, and after his morning session on Friday, his coaches and doctor decided to pull him out of the upcoming competition.
The 17-year-old Olympian ranked nineteenth during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics where he performed to Ernesto Lecuona's Malaguena. His routine was described as a "performance to be proud of."
