Megan Young makes it to Miss World's Beach Fashion finals

The Philippine representative to Miss World 2013, Megan Young, has been announced as one of the eleven contestants who made it to the pageant's Beach Fashion finals.

The Beach Fashion preliminary competition was held in Nusa Dua in Bali, where the 125 beautiful candidates from around the world paraded in one-piece swimsuits and sarong. The pageant let go of the usual two-piece this year in respect to the culture of the host country.

Despite the move, however, there are still ongoing protests from the locals calling for cancellation of the pageant.

Along with Megan, other contestants who made it to Beach Fashion Top 11 were France, Indonesia, Jamaica, Spain, China, Ghana, Ukraine, Italy, Brazil and Moldova.

The winner of Beach Fashion will be announced on the pageant's coronation night on September 28, which will be aired by GMA-7 at 10 PM.
