Kapuso star Alyssa Alano is seriously injured after her sport utility vehicle crashed in the center island of Marcos Highway.
The Startalk co-host was reportedly speeding near the SM Marikina area before 4 AM of Sunday. Initial reports say that her SUV spun after crashing in the center island and hit a concrete barrier of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
A metal attached to the barrier reportedly pierced through Alyssa’s abdomen. Another car was hit by the SUV in the process, injuring four others aboard.
Rescue teams helped Alyssa and brought her to a nearby hospital.
Whether Alyssa was drunk at the time of the accident still needs to be verified.
