Angelia Gabrena Ong was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2015 during the pageant night that was held on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
From the City of Manila, Angelia is a 24-year-old Marketing Management student at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde.
Aside from her beauty, she also impressed the judges during the question and answer when she answered in favor of same sex marriage.
"If the person feels he or she needs to be married to show his or her love, then I don't mind having [same] sex marriage. If you feel that that is love, then so be it," she said in answer to the question given by Zsa Zsa Padilla.
Meanwhile, Jake Cuenca's former girlfriend Chanel Olive Thomas of San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, was Miss Philippines Air (1st runner-up).
Chanel was recently the cause of Jake Cuenca's walk out from the "Gandang Gabi Vice" taping. According to the "Pasion De Amor" actor, he was surprised when he saw his ex-girlfriend at the taping. He left because he didn't want to put her under pressure, adding that it was her moment.
