According to an article on inquirer.net, an airport guard who first recognized the multi-awarded actor four days ago said that Jiro had bruises on his body and looked dirty and hungry when he first saw him.

Jiro reportedly told the guard that he had enemies at home that's why he left.

But then he tells a different story every time he is asked. He also seem to not know that he is a famous actor. Jiro reportedly even asked for evidence and said that he might just be a lookalike.

Jiro won acting awards from different award-giving bodies for his role in the movie "Magnifico" when he was just 12.

He eventually became addicted to illegal drugs and entered a rehabilitation facility in 2011.

He was last seen on television via GMA-7's "Little Star" in 2010. On the same year, he also became part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry "Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na 'To!).
