Jolina Magdangal signs contract with ABS-CBN

Jolina Magdangal has sealed her return to ABS-CBN by signing a two-year contract with the network, making her again an official Kapamilya.

Twelve years after her last project with ABS-CBN, Jolina comes back via "Flordeliza," an upcoming primetime television series that reunites her with her love team back then, Marvin Agustin, who is also returning to the network through the project.

The fact that she and Marvin have done several acting projects in the past makes taping the upcoming series easier for her, aside from the fact that they have also worked with their director, Wenn V. Deramas, in the past.

"Hindi ako gano'n sobrang nahihirapan dahil si Marvin 'yung partner ko, tapos ang director pa si Direk Wenn, na s'ya rin 'yung naging director ko nung huli akong gumawa ng movie sa Star Cinema 12 years ago," she said during an interview after the contract signing.

She also revealed that she will be seen in several Kapamilya shows to promote their series, and a welcome prod is being prepared for her in "ASAP."

"Nababalitaan ko na nga 'yung parang welcome na gagawin nila. Nae-excite ako talaga. Hindi ko ma-explain kung ga'no kadami 'yung excitement ko pero highest level talaga," she said.

On what took her so long to return to the network she grew up in, she said that right timing is important for her and that everything that happens has a purpose.

"Naniniwala ako dun sa timing e. Lahat ng mangyayari, kaya nangyari 'yun kasi may purpose. Siguro kaya gano'n... Tiningnan ko s'ya as finally ito na, nandito na ulit. Hindi ko na lang kinuwestiyon bakit gano'n pa. And I think malaki 'yung purpose bakit naging 12 years... Tini-take ko s'ya as right timing. 'Yung nangyari para sa 'kin right timing s'ya dahil bago na, bagong Jolina na 'yung nakikita n'yo - mommy na 'ko, kumbaga happily married ako. Kung minahal nila ako kung papa'no ako dati nando'n pa rin 'yun pero s'yempre mas nadagdagan pa ngayon kasi may pamilya na ako," she said.

She, meanwhile, had only good words to say to director Laurenti Dyogi who was among those present in the contract signing.

"Na-excite talaga ako na makita ulit si Direk Lauren, kasi si Direk Lauren talaga 'yung malaking part ng lahat ng ito at mula noon hanggang ngayon naramdaman ko 'yung pagmamahal n'ya sa akin at saka hindi ako nakakita ng pagbabago dun sa pagiging warm n'ya sa akin noon pa and happy ako na mula noon hanggang ngayon nand'yan pa rin s'ya talaga," she said.

A lot of Kapamilya actors have achieved superstardom while she was in another network, and on who among them she wants to work with, she has Daniel Padilla included in her list.

"Si Maja, si Kim, si Gerald, si Xian, si Enrique, si  Daniel. Kasi si Daniel naalala ko nung nag-Star Magic Ball, lumagpas na s'ya sa 'kin, e, galing elevator, bumalik pa s'ya para mag-hi sa akin. So 'yung mga gano'ng gesture talagang nata-touch ako," she said.
