Ian Somerhalder arrives in Manila!

Ian Somerhalder is in Manila courtesy of a local clothing brand he’s endorsing.

The American actor, who is famous for playing a scheming vampire in the hit The Vampire Diaries, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 onboard Asiana Airlines from Korea at 11:30 PM of Saturday, May 19th.

He will be staying in the country for a week, and will be busy doing photoshoots for Penshoppe, the clothing brand who tapped him as its newest international endorser.

The 33-year-old actor is now part of the Penshoppe All Stars, a campaign of the brand featuring popular international celebrities including Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick, Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer and The Lucky One actor Zac Efron.

The brand has also scheduled for the actor’s press conference to be attended by the media and “priviledged” fans.

If you’re unlucky to get a presscon pass, however, you can catch him when he visits a flagship store of Penshoppe. Details hasn’t been revealed but you can keep it here for updates.

Upon arrival, Ian posted on Twitter talking about the warm welcome he got from his Pinoy fans.

He then took to Instagram to post this pic of the airport terminal with the caption “That was the Manila airport.”

During his brief stop-over in Korea before boarding Asiana Airlines to the Philippines, he seemed to be impressed when he tweeted:

Nothing like that when he touched down in Manila, though, but he instead posted the picture above. I just wonder if he used the airport’s toilet. I certainly hope not.
