Angelica Panganiban and JM De Guzman - That Thing Called Tadhana

Angelica Panganiban and JM de Guzman, the lead stars of “Tadhana” also received nods of approval for their portrayal of Mace and Anthony, as both have bagged best actress and actor awards. Director Antoinette Jadaone’s film paved the way for Panganiban to win Best Actress award at the 2014 Cinema One Originals Film Festival, while de Guzman was named Best Actor at the Gawad Pasado. Jadaone’s phenomenal hit was also the Cinema One Originals Film Festival’s Audience Choice.

“Tadhana” is inspired by Richard Linklater’s 1995 classic, “Before Sunrise.” The Cinema One Originals film follows the story of two Filipino strangers, Mace (Angelica Panganiban) and Anthony (JM de Guzman) who bump into each other at Rome’s airport. At the check-in counter, a struggling Mace who made countless attempts to pass the baggage load requirements was saved with the help of Anthony. After landing in Manila, the two eventually decide to travel together up north to Baguio and Sagada in the quest to search for the answer to the question, “where do broken hearts go?”
