'That Thing Called Tadhana' returns to big screen

After its blockbuster success last month, The Cinema One Originals film “That Thing Called Tadhana” will be returning to the big screen as it runs at UP Cine Adarna together with Cinema One Originals 2014 films next week.

Cinema One Originals goes to UP

From March 9 to 12, film lovers are granted another chance to watch the ten films from last year’s crème de la crème of Cinema One Originals, which had a limited run in key theatres in the metro last November.

Apart from Antoinette Jadaone’s “That Thing Called Tadhana,” which bagged commercial success and positive reviews, the best picture from the Cinema One Originals 2014 festival “Violator” by Dodo Dayao will have a comeback in theatres through UP’s Cine Adarna.

Kanakan-Balintagos’ masterpiece “Esprit de Corps,” which earned him the coveted Best Director at last year’s festival will screen on March 10 (Tuesday) and March 11 (Wednesday) while best screenplay winner “Red” topbilled by Jericho Rosales, “Bitukang Manok,” which took home the best cinematography award, and “Lorna” starring Shamaine Centenera Buencamino in her funniest and most provocative performance will also be screened.

Other Cinema One Originals films that will be showcased for next week’s lineup are “The Babysitters,” “Soap Opera,” “Seoul Mates,” and “Hindi Sila Tatanda.”

Tickets are all priced at 150 available at UP Cine Adarna.

Since 2005, the premiere cable channel Cinema One has given voice to a pool of talented young and seasoned filmmakers to showcase their creative and original vision through Cinema One Originals. To date, a string of Cinema One Originals films have achieved notable success in international film festivals and prestigious award giving bodies here and abroad.
