Daniel Padilla wants to move on and just learn from 'audio clip' controversy

Although Daniel Padilla knows who uploaded the audio clip that triggered speculations about his romantic relationship with Jasmine Curtis-Smith, the Teen King just opted not to confront the person.

According to Daniel's mom, Karla Estrada, during her guesting in "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" on Friday, the uploader was his son's friend of five years.

When asked how they found out who uploaded the clip, she said all the other friends of Daniel present at the time of the controversial convo pointed to that person who was also the only one who was holding a cellphone during that time.

"Tinanong ko 'yung isang kaibigan na nandodoon na kasama nila sa pag-uusap. Siya ang tinuturo ng lahat kasi siya lang ang may hawak ng cellphone habang nag-uusap sila," she said.

In the 90-second audio clip, Daniel talks about texting a girl that makes him "kilig."

He also talks about a guy who thinks he looks like Billy Joe Armstrong of Greenday in the way he dresses.

Towards the end of the recording, he seems thrilled that a certain Patrick (who is a friend of Sam) has already left and no one will bug him anymore.

"Wala na si Patrick. Wala nang manggugulo sa 'kin. Wala na'ng tropa ni Sam," Daniel's voice says.

Fans started speculating, linking actor-singer Sam Concepcion to the issue saying that he is the Sam that Daniel was referring to.

Speculations also went as far as connecting Sam's girlfriend, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, to the audio as the girl that was the topic of the conversation.

Daniel already admitted to being the person behind the voice in the audio clip, but has not named the girl he was talking about.

Meanwhile, according to his mom, the teen heartthrob wants to move on and just learn from the issue.

"Ayaw na actually palalimin pa ni DJ, ano, kasi para sa kanya, 'Kung kailangan ko matuto sa ganitong paraan, okay ako, natuto ako,'" she said during the interview.

If she were to decide, however, she would do otherwise.

"Ako, mas gusto kong palawigin ito, ano, pero kung kinatatakot ni DJ ito, rerespetuhin ko siya dito sa unang pagkakataon. Pero sa susunod, hindi ko na siya pakikinggan," she said.

She said, though, that it has strengthened her son as a person and he has indeed learned from the experience.

As with regards to Daniel's love team and rumored girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel said in a recent interview that she was hurt by the controversy but has already forgiven him.

Meanwhile, Jasmine, who has been receiving some online bashing from the fans of Kathryn and Daniel since the controversy started, admitted in an interview that she has exchanged text messages with Daniel, her co-star in the upcoming MMFF entry "Bonifacio." The messages, however, were just about her dad who recently underwent surgery.
