National University (NU) wins 2014 UAAP Cheerdance Competition

For two years in a row, the National University (NU) Pep Squad won the Cheerdance Competition, beating 7 other universities for the title.

The NU Pep Squad impressed the judges, scoring 677.5 points, during the UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2014 that was held at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, September 14, 2014.

The University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad was 1st runner-up with 658 points, while the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe was 2nd runner-up with 625 points.

The UP Pep Squad also maintained their last year's standing, while it was UST's comeback in the Top 3 since their 3rd place finish in 2010.

3. UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe - 625
4. Adamson University (AdU) Pep Squad - 600
5. Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad - 599.5
6. De La Salle University (DLSU) Animo Squad - 557
7. University of the East (UE) Pep Squad - 503
8. Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Blue Babble Battalion - 494.5

UST and UP still have the most number of wins since the competition started in 1994, each having 8 wins overall.

NU, meanwhile, is tied with FEU with 2 wins each.

The Group Stunts Competition was won by the FEU, followed by UST and NU.
