Court grants Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee's petition for bail

The court is now allowing Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz to post bail.

The three are accused of serious illegal detention in connection with the Vhong Navarro mauling incident in Taguig last January.

According to reports, their petition for bail was granted because the prosecution failed to show strong evidence.

Cornejo's camp is happy with the court's decision for she can now be allowed to leave the CIDG Detention Center, albeit temporarily, after 6 months of being under custody.

Bail bond for each of the accused was set at P500,000.

Aside from serious illegal detention, Cornejo, Lee and Raz are also accused of perjury and grave coercion.
