Earthquake hits Sultan Kudarat (Sept. 20, 2014)

Sultan Kudarat was rocked by a magnitude 4.7 earthquake on Saturday morning, September 20, 2014.

According to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the earthquake was recorded at exactly 7:09 am, with epicenter located 13 kilometers (km) east of the town of Columbio.

It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 15 km.

The earthquake was felt at Intensity IV in Kidapawan City.

No damage or casualties was recorded. Aftershocks are also not expected.
