"Dementia" is the first directorial job of former TV5 entertainment and creative head, Perci Intalan.
According to reports, Regal Film's Mother Lily Monteverde was very impressed when she saw the movie that she didn't think twice about offering Perci an episode of "Shake Rattle and Roll XV," the movie production outfit's entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival this December.
Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board, "Dementia" is about a woman named Mara (Aunor) who is suffering from dementia. Her family decided to bring her back to their ancestral home in Batanes as it might help her remember things.
Going back to their hometown, however, Mara started seeing ghosts which her relatives thought were just hallucinations, until her niece (Curtis-Smith) started seeing them too.
