The singer-TV host reportedly arrived at the Police Community Precinct 7 with a female friend that early Sunday morning to ask for assistance, but he went berserk after being told he will be brought to the headquarters.
He already admitted that it was his fault but denied that he hit anyone. He also said that he doesn't see anything wrong with what he did.
“It was my fault pero wala akong nasaktan, wala akong tinulak, wala akong tinamaan kundi 'yung salamin,” he said in an interview with radio DZMM. “To be honest with you, I don’t see anything wrong with what I did. It was my fault for actually being aggressive. Buti na lang it didn’t happen in a bar, it didn’t happen anywhere else. It happened in a precinct. The reason why is because I knew for a fact I needed to be in a controlled environment. So as I said, I really apologize to the officers if I said anything derogatory or anything else.”
The "It's Showtime" host's camp has already released an official statement, also saying that Billy did not hit anyone, and that they are confident that the truth will prevail.
On Monday morning, Billy was brought to the Taguig Prosecutor's Office for inquest proceedings for the charges of malicious mischief and disobedience to persons in authority.
The inquest proceeding had been short, after which he went back to the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Meanwhile, his camp was hoping Billy would be allowed to post bail today.
